Chapter 1: Where to Start? 

Maple Problem Set 

1. Pressing ! re-executes a line or a selection of lines. Pressing !!! re-executes an entire file. 

2. Pressing >_  tells Maple that the values entered upon it should be interpreted as a calculation or as a command. 

   Pressing T tells Maple that the values entered should be interpreted as text. 

3. A user can type a keyword into the Search Bar at the top of the interface.  

   Clicking the ? button brings up the entire Maple Help system.  

   Once this is open, a keyword search can be performed.  

   Lastly typing ? followed by a keyword  directly on a command line will perform a search in the Maple Help System. 

4. Each time a command is completed or a calculation is done, it is noted inside both a document and a worksheet with an Equation Label. 

   As output can sometimes be long, or they may even change, users can apply the Equation Label inside of future commands. 

5. The purpose of the Favorites Palette is for users to create a cusomize Palette for commonly used Palette Options, Commands or calculations.  

6. The Keyboard shortcut to save is Control + S  on a PC or Command + S on a MAC.
